Exeter 24-45 Gloucester
Ben Loader also crosses twice in bonus-point triumph
Gloucester are intent on climbing the Premiership standings this season, and this represented an encouraging initial step. The Cherry and Whites had secured a bonus point by halftime on a windy afternoon in Devon and possessed sufficient resources to extend a 14-point lead at the break, securing an early away victory that boosts morale.
Given they managed only one league victory on the road during the entire 2025-26 season, this seven-try barrage was a significant positive, led by their new Welsh additions Dewi Lake and Jac Morgan. Lake rightly earned the man-of-the-match award, touching down twice and making substantial contributions to Gloucester’s performance in both set pieces and the maul.
